Where KaKeKiKoKu Studio is headed

I am not going anywhere. I am going to build the Studio I imagined — and then actually polish it.

Studio just went from Alpha to Beta. This is a good moment to say the plan out loud, because a quiet stretch with no releases is coming, and I would rather you knew why.

Everything left to build turns on one idea: your knowledge should not be a pile of loose notes, but something connected. First, being able to see how the pieces of your project relate. Then, creating those connections with a gesture, no forms. And finally, reorganizing knowledge by moving it from one place to another, naturally. When that is in, Studio will finally be what I imagined a year ago.

And then I am going to stop. Not to add more things — the opposite. A good stretch dedicated only to quality and solidity: testing it hard, hardening what is there. No rush to publish.

So you will not see new versions for a while. I am going to jump from today's 1.7.4 straight to 1.10, with nothing published in between. The next version that shows up will be 1.10.1: that whole jump, more mature and more solid.

And no, I will not have gone anywhere. I will be head-down in this — which is exactly what Studio preaches: working without rush on something worth doing. See you on the other side.
